Nigel Prior

Nigel has a broad range of interests. At school, he wanted to save the world politically and environmentally. The politics morphed into a continuing interest in current affairs, and the environmental focus was delivered by a Science degree and adventure sports on weekends.

Nigel started his working life as a student, answering phones for Australia’s largest telecoms company. Quick expansion of the team provided opportunities for growth and an awareness that systems are critical to a businesses effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

A series of roles in the same company ended in Nigel being a COBOL/JCL/DB2 programmer (!) for billing and rating systems. He then moved back towards his original call centre roots, working for Siebel Systems (a CRM company which was then bought by Oracle) in Support, Delivery, Management and Account Management roles.

Since leaving Oracle, and prior to joining Monad, Nigel worked for another Systems Integrator to develop and enhance their Customer Experience practice using Oracle, Microsoft, and other technologies.

Nigel still finds time to have outdoors adventures with his family. Passions include riding, backcountry skiing, kayaking and more. In fact, anything that encourages a couple of other minor passions: cooking and eating.
